If you reside in the country for five or more years, you are eligible to apply for Portuguese citizenship. The Portugal Golden Visa entitles you to reside in Portugal for five years. If you can prove that you have lived in the country for five or more years with a Golden Visa, then it can lead to Portuguese citizenship.

Once you have Portuguese citizenship, you are entitled to live and work anywhere in the EU.
