It’s relatively easy to immigrate to Portugal, however, you should consider two things. The first is that you will need to speak Portuguese, or have a representative that can speak on your behalf when applying for a visa. Occasionally they will speak English, however, most government officials are not particularly happy to do so. The second point to consider are the delays on applications. It can take 12 months or more to get a relevant visa. This is due to Covid and the backlogs it has caused.
You also need to make sure that you have at-least 12 months subsistence in your bank account and no serious criminal records. If you have a criminal record or don’t have more than €7,620, it could be very difficult to obtain a visa.
