D2 Startup Visa vs D6 Family Reunion Visa in Portugal

The D2 visa is called the "immigrant entrepreneur" visa for a reason. Not only do you need to prove your income to obtain this visa, but your income needs to come from a specific source.

In order to qualify for a D2 visa, your income needs to come from a business you started yourself or a business you buy. This is a rather unique set of circumstances.

The Family Reunion visa only allows dependent children, a spouse, and dependent grandparent to relocate to Portugal with you. If someone receives the D2 Visa, their family members apply to the Family reunion Visa. For both of them, you'll need to live in Portugal full-time unless your business requires you to travel.
